MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
Lone wolf no more! November’s heaviest emphasis is on relationships, joint ventures, and all things interpersonal. The Sun is visiting Scorpio, your partnership sign, until the 22. Afterward, it slides into Sagittarius, your intimate eighth house. All month long, planets file into Sagittarius. While this sign is known for its buoyant optimism, it also rules the “bonding” zone of your chart. Even if your interactions are jovial, there’s an emotional gravity beneath, a percolating intensity. You can veer to extremes at moments, and your tolerance for gray area is low. In or out? Deal or no deal? You want to know.
November 10 delivers a double shot of electrifying earth-sign energy. That day, a Taurus full moon brings the last six months of your life to a brilliant peak. Whatever you’ve been up to since your birthday is ready for harvest. Also on the 10th, go-getter Mars begins an unusually long eight-month visit to Virgo, your fifth house of passion and romance. Your energy should be off the charts, so watch out, world! If you’ve struggled to pinpoint your heart’s desires or felt emotionally disengaged, this is a golden cycle for exploring and expressing your gifts. Do note, though, that Jupiter is retrograde (backward) in Taurus until December 25, so anything you start now will really zoom off after the new year.
Another reason to take it slow-ish? Communication planet Mercury (also in Sagittarius) backs into retrograde motion November 23-December 13. This could cause delays around travel, joint ventures and contracts, as well as technology and communication breakdowns. Two days later, a solar eclipse pings into this sign. Expect to feel a little emotionally disoriented during this cycle. It could be a case of one step forward, two steps back as you sort through a jumble of mixed signals and possible financial red tape.
Thanksgiving weekend is a little wonky from the eclipse and the retrograde, although a lovely “grand trine” angle in earth signs on Sunday can smooth things out. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger—and it also bolsters your relationships. Banding together to deal with a challenge will either deepen your trust or expose someone’s true (flaky) colors—something you never know until the s*** hits the fan.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
Holy hotness, Taurus! This month is loaded with love energy from start to finish. The Sun is cruising through the partnership and intimacy zones of your chart, turning your attention to commitments. Single Bulls could meet “the One,” and coupled Taureans will have little tolerance for half-baked connections. You want your relationship to be rock-solid, or you’d rather call the whole thing off. Not that you should be hasty, of course—just plan to have some important discussions around an equal balance of time, attention, resources, money, affection, and everything else you both need.
Not that you can’t have fun this month, Taurus. On November 10, sexy Mars begins a rare eight-month visit to Virgo, your playful and passionate fifth house. Taurus is a super-sensual sign, and your already revved-up mojo gets even steamier. You’ll need an outlet for all that sexual energy. Feeling a little shy about it? Create an alter ego and sign “her” up for a burlesque class. The whole vaudeville showgirl thing bears a campy-yet-classic appeal for your sign. Caution: the fifth house can also bring on drama, and with quick-tempered Mars here, you’ll need to keep your short fuse in check.
Helping matters is peacekeeper (and love planet) Venus in Sagittarius, your intimate eight house. Both Venus and communicative Mercury enter Sag on November 2, sparking important dialogues. Single Bulls could trade spicy banter, racy texts, and hardcore flirtation. You might also feel a soul-level connection with someone this month, although the seduction might be a slow, languorous dance rather than a grab-‘em-by-the-hair gropefest. You prefer to simmer your way up to a slow boil, Taurus!
When Mercury goes retrograde (backward) November 23-December 13, there could be drama with an ex, or an old flame could resurface. Even if the chemistry is still explosive, think twice before you light that dynamite stick again. Mercury retrograde is also a tricky tech time, so you probably won’t want to “sext” or email a naughty photo, either—that X-rated “Santa’s wayward elf” pic could end up in the wrong hands (yikes).
During Mercury retrograde, coupled Bulls could argue over sex and money, two eighth house hot spots. The key to Mercury retrograde is to negotiate until you find a win-win. One or both of you may have some buried resentments that need to be aired. It wouldn’t be a bad time for couples’ therapy if you’ve reached that point—or for a little private together time to reconnect.
A Sagittarius solar eclipse on the 25th could bring a new attraction out of the blue, as eclipses always have a surprise up their sleeves. A holiday weekend proposal or pregnancy could be on the docket—quite unexpectedly even. Some Bulls could suddenly part ways with a mate, but since this is a new moon, it’s more likely that you’ll start fresh instead. If you’re simply not on the same page anymore and a split is the only answer, take heart. The eclipse is planting seeds for a better match to come your way in the next six months. Have faith!
MONEY & CAREER:
Good news! While the summer got off to a roaring start for many Bulls, a few late season clouds rolled in. On August 4, foggy Neptune went retrograde (backward) in Aquarius, your career and long-term goal sector. Getting a straight answer or seeing a clear vision of your path was a comedy of errors (not that you’re even close to laughing about it). A promising connection may have vanished into thin air, or you could have been sent through a maddening bureaucratic maze. (Who moved your cheese? Who the hell knows!)
On November 9, Neptune returns to direct (forward) motion, clearing confusion and cutting through the fog. That key business contact could resurface, or you may finally get a long-awaited response to a job application. On the 10th, the Taurus full moon brings it all home, making that trouble worthwhile. You could be doing a victory lap at long last! That same day, energizer Mars enters your passionate and theatrical fifth house until July. Your inner rock goddess takes the stage, and you could become the (perhaps unlikely) spokesperson for a cause or a company. Why the heck not? This surge of can-do energy and enthusiasm makes you an excellent salesperson, as your powers of persuasion are downright magnetic for the next eight months. Add more color and glamour to your look, as your outfits actually provide visual cues that help people remember you.
A heavy rotation of Sagittarius planets all month spotlights your eighth house of joint ventures, shared finances, and long-term money management. Articulate Mercury and charming Venus enter Sag on November 2nd, so start the schmoozing and deal-making early. A move or a home renovation is possible, as the eighth house governs real estate. You’ll want to lock down financial commitments before Thanksgiving, though, because communication planet Mercury will be retrograde in Sagittarius November 23-December 13.
Take a deep breath and prepare for a little turbulence—or better yet, start the prevention beforehand. Do some early tax planning, make a budget, or call a creditor if you have debt. Because Mercury retrograde can cause data glitches, you’ll want to safeguard all your credit card and bank information. Change outdated passwords and protect your digital identity. Online holiday shopping should only be done on secured sites. This year, you might be best off taking a wad of cash to the mall or using a prepaid gift card. A Sagittarius solar eclipse on “Black Friday” (November 25) makes this especially important, as eclipses can bring unexpected events.
Use this cycle to hash out terms with a business or romantic partner. If the division of labor has gone askew, or if the pie isn’t being fairly divided, use Mercury retrograde to express your needs and retool the relationship so that everyone’s happy. While there could be some tense discussions, ultimately, you’ll all feel better once everything becomes clear. On the 27th, a gorgeous earth sign “grand trine” (harmonious angle) between the Moon, Venus, Pluto, Mars, and Jupiter (wow!) can work magic on any sore spots.
Remember, 2012 kicks off your true golden era once again. Lucky Jupiter is still retrograde in Taurus from August 30-December 25, causing you to continuously tweak your master plans. Some ventures may need to wait until the New Year for a full-scale launch. Singer Adele, a Taurus, was put on vocal rest and had to cancel her U.S. tour because of a hemorrhage that started up in September. Let hers be a cautionary tale about pushing past your limits. The Taurus full moon on November 10 is your all-clear date to be a little selfish. Focus on your needs, express your desires, and be uber-intentional with your energy. What do you want? Be specific! That same day, energizing Mars begins an eight-month trip through Virgo, boosting your life-force energy. Between now and July, choose workouts that really get your blood pumping. Think: Zumba over yoga…or Bikram over hatha. You’ll have a lot of masculine, directional “yang” energy, so you’ll need plenty of channels for it.
