February 2010
MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
Pisces, you’ve been such a trooper. 2009 was a complete rollercoaster, thanks to Jupiter’s station in Aquarius, your twelfth house of endings, release and illusion. It was like trying to run a marathon through dense fog, with lots of stumbling, guessing and disorientation. On January 17th, Jupiter moved into Pisces, where it will spend most of 2010. The turnaround is underway, and many Fish have taken that first tentative step toward believing that the universe is conspiring in your favor once again.
However, February has one last round of spiritual testing. The Sun is in Aquarius until the 18th, pushing you to let go of any toxic ’09 baggage you’ve dragged into the new year. Hard as it is, you must loosen your grip. If you’ve pinned your hopes to one job, person, location, opportunity…well, that was probably done in the spirit of scarcity. Be willing to believe that something much bigger awaits you, even if you have no tangible evidence. It’s all about divine timing. As someone recently said, just because the tide is out, doesn’t mean there’s less water in the ocean.
You’ll realize this come February 18th, when the Sun enters Pisces, flooding you with energy and abundance. Toward the end of the month, the Sun and expansive Jupiter make contact, changing your worldview from narrow focus to wide-angle. The Virgo full moon jumps in on the 28th, bringing exciting opportunities to collaborate. Use the early part of February to clear the decks in preparation for a fabulous new decade.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
Have a little faith, Pisces. The first two weeks are a time to let go—of the past, of inhibitions, of rigid boundaries. Venus is in your twelfth house of endings until February 12th, bringing a fantasy element to your love life. Are you ready to get swept away? If not, that’s because there are energetic blocks like resentment, false hope or old sadness in your space. Perhaps you haven’t fully grieved the loss of an ex-love. Or, you may be acting the martyr, carrying more than your share instead of insisting on equal investment from your mate.
Whatever the case, it doesn’t serve you to bottle these emotions up—nor to keep replaying a story of hurt that casts you as the victim. Check out Colin Tipping’s book Radical Forgiveness if you need help letting go. You’ll be glad you did come Valentine’s Day. The moon, romantic Venus and lucky Jupiter are all in Pisces, making you Cupid’s number-one target. On the 28th, the Virgo full moon turns its high-beams on your relationship sector. This could really take your partnerships to the next level.
There’s one caveat: the full moon will oppose Jupiter in Pisces, indicating that you may need to be a little “selfish” around this date. In other words, it’s time to stand up for what YOU want in life, and ask your partner’s total, unwavering support. That doesn’t mean you demand everything on your terms. But for goodness sake, if you want to go to grad school, open a business, have a baby, or some other dream deferred—this is your year to do it.
MONEY & CAREER:
Motivation is in short supply, so give yourself a break. Ambitious Mars is retrograde (backward) in Leo until March 10th, leaving you feeling a bit disorganized. You may spend much of February sorting through papers, tossing out old files, and doing an overall purge. It’s the perfect way to create space for new opportunity, especially when the Sun moves into Pisces on the 18th. This solar shot of vitamin-A (assertiveness) and -B (ballsy-ness) will invite all kinds of new opportunities. You’re just so attractive when you believe in yourself!
A partnership offer could arrive near the Virgo full moon on February 28th. Are you ready to shake hands and make it official? Really review the terms. Make sure you’re getting what you deserve, and that you won’t be expected to do more than you’ll be fairly compensated for, Pisces. A startup business or a company with an inspiration mission sounds exciting, especially if you have a chance to help shape the organization. Be sure you’ll receive due credit for your work (a title, stock options, etc.). Create a win-win scenario and this could be a lasting success.
HEALTH: MIND, BODY & SOUL:
Book a few extra hours of shuteye, Pisces. It’s your annual time of rest, at least while the Sun is in Aquarius until the 18th. Hard as it is, you’ll need to set boundaries with a difficult or manipulative person who sucks away your energy. Your subconscious is cleansing itself while you sleep, and you don’t want to shortchange the healing cycle. A spiritual or serendipitous moment arrives at the February 13th Aquarius new moon. This moon will join with your ruling planet Neptune, starting you on a gentle six-month path of emotional and soul healing.
Physically, you need to take it easy and avoid straining yourself with a rigorous workout plan. It’s better to take a power walk than pull a muscle in advanced kickboxing or hip-hop dance class. Energetic Mars is retrograde in your health and fitness sector until March 10th, completing a cycle that began near the holidays. Don’t beat yourself up for any winter pounds or sluggishness. However, do schedule a checkup to make sure you have enough iron and other essential vitamins in your body. You’re easily stressed out, so find ways to eliminate anxiety-triggering influences from your environment.
