MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
You’re a busy Fishie for much of December. While others are slacking off and hitting the parties, you’re on a mission to reach a goal or meet a big milestone. That’s because the Sun is in Sagittarius, your tenth house of career, until December 21st. Unfortunately, communication planet Mercury is also retrograde (backward) here until the 13th, which could cause technological problems, miscommunications and infuriating red tape. It looks like the twelve days BEFORE Christmas could be crunch time—and a power week that lets you finally get things done without the irritating setbacks. If your money’s been unpredictable since the summer, it should stabilize after the 9th, when Uranus goes direct in Aries, your work and finance house.
On December 10th, the Gemini total lunar eclipse could bring a defining moment to your home, family or relationship with a female relative (especially your mother). You could suddenly decide to move, have an air-clearing conversation, or even find out you’re pregnant. Children, parents and close family members are in the spotlight, and something may need to shift here. It all goes back to the June 1st Gemini solar eclipse, which planted the seeds of radical change leading up to this moment. Stay tuned!
You can relax and let your hair down after the 21st, when the Sun moves into Capricorn, your social eleventh house. Just in time for the holidays! New Year’s Eve features the moon and irreverent Uranus in Aries, your sophisticated second house. Do something elegant but edgy—like dressing up for a dinner theater or seeing a midnight burlesque show. Pull out that formalwear, get your hair and makeup done, and put on your dancing shoes as you ring in 2012 in style.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
Things are heating up on the commitment front for many Pisces. Last month, sexy, spicy Mars began an eight-month visit to Virgo, your partnership sign. Ooh-la-la! You’re feeling bold and assertive, ready to energize this part of your life. Have you settled for less than you deserve? Crave more from a relationship than you’re getting? Now’s the time to lay down the gauntlet—you have both have legitimate needs, and it’s time to discuss them openly. While it’s unrealistic to assume two people can fulfill each other’s every desire, you could certainly put in more effort. It’s worth a shot.
Mars can also add pressure and stress, so you could be feeling a bit impatient and argumentative with your partner in the coming months. If you’re parting ways, the breakup could be acrimonious, but try to play nice. Single Pisceans may feel that so-called clock ticking, and since Mars is the mythical warrior, you could be out on the hunt in full force. Easy there, snow leopard! You’re not stalking prey (or are you?). While you certainly want to be open and upfront about what you’re looking for, you may come on a little too strong under Mars’ influence. Other Pisces could be feeling impulsive, and there could be a whole school o’ Fish heading to Vegas or City Hall around the holidays for a quickie “I do.” Mars is all about striking while the iron is hot! Just make sure that you’re not acting rashly.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of unconditional love around you now, so fill your tank up with that as well. Love-planet Venus is in Capricorn, your friendship sign, until December 20th. Get out and circulate the holiday cocktail mixers if you’re single, because you could meet someone through mutual friends, at an industry event or in a fun group setting. On the 20th, Venus moves into Aquarius, your twelfth house of closure and fantasy. You could get swept off your feet or caught up in quite the tidal wave of emotions over the holiday. This may also be time to clean house and say goodbye to a go-nowhere relationship. Consider this the equivalent of romantic feng shui, clearing a space for a better match when Venus goes into Pisces next month.
MONEY & CAREER:
You’re at the top of your game this month, making some high profile moves and connections. The Sun is in Sagittarius, your tenth house of success and fame, until December 21st. This time of year is often your most ambitious and productive, and you may be rubbing shoulders with some impressive folks who can offer mentoring or valuable connections. Early in the month, you’re grooving on the vibes of the November 25th Sagittarius solar eclipse, which sparked a six-month upward cycle of accelerated career growth and change. This is truly your time, Pisces.
The cosmic caveat, alas, is that Mercury is retrograde in Sagittarius until December 13th. It can be a case of two steps forward, one step back, since Mercury retrograde can cause crossed signals, delays and misunderstandings. You could experience a lack of cooperation from the folks in the upper echelons, or bureaucratic slowdowns as you get bounced through an endless system. Can someone just make a decision here, please? Mercury retrograde is great for reunions, so while you wait for due process to occur, why not ring up an old boss, colleague or mentor? There might still be a few coins rattling around in that old piggy bank. If you’re drafting a business plan or a proposal of some kind, use this period to make it as tight as you possibly can, then submit to decision-makers after the 13th.
Meantime, unsteady work and money matters improve after December 9th, when destabilizing Uranus goes direct in Aries, your finance house. Since July, you may have rebelled against your budget, or found it hard to stay focused on the job. You had the urge to break free, but perhaps in a self-destructive or overly irreverent way that hit the wrong notes. For freelancing Pisces, work may have been spotty, and you could be experiencing a cash crunch. After the 9th, you’ll make much better choices, and you’ll attract more stable opportunities. You can still be true to yourself without getting fired…and you can enjoy your splurges without going broke.
Many Pisces have been working on marketing, branding and promotion since June, when lucky Jupiter began a yearlong visit to Taurus, your third house of communication. You may have ventured into writing (such as a blog, website or book project), speaking, teaching or working creatively with your hands. Interesting new friends, social activities and community projects called your name. Some of this stalled when Jupiter went retrograde on August 30th, and you may have felt a little unclear about your message. Heading back to the drawing board may have been a worthwhile effort—one that will be rewarded when Jupiter goes direct on December 25th. From here, you have a six-month window to get your message out there in a polished, inspiring and social media-savvy way. Spread the word!
HEALTH: MIND, BODY & SOUL:
Your personal life has been shifting and reshuffling since June, when a Gemini solar eclipse swept through your fourth house of home and family. Now, it all starts to make sense. On December 10th, the Gemini full moon is a total lunar eclipse—the grand finale of this six-month arc that’s brought shifts to your personal life. A female relative (possibly your mother or a child) or an important woman in your life has played a role in these changes, and your relationship may have seen some growing pains. A pregnancy is possible, or you may become a central figure in a child’s life as an honorary mama. It does indeed take a village! A move or a real estate venture could also be part of this eclipse cycle. You could be contemplating a new neighborhood, maybe even relocating to a whole new city (or country!). If you’ve been saving up for a dream home or trying to sell your place, this eclipse could help push the deal through. Like where you are, but feeling the need for a change?
